Farah DeJohnette Horsemanship Gives Power Back to the People
North Brookfield, MA (March 29, 2016) Have you lost control over your own horsemanship? Are you truly growing or just following your trainer's commands? Are you learning what you want to learn or what someone else tells you to?
Take back your power with Farah DeJohnette Horsemanship. Let the ease and power of www.fdhorsemanship.com and its interactive online learning tools help you dictate what you choose to learn, then watch central Massachusetts trainer Farah DeJohnette produce an FDH Virtual Clinic customized to your request.
“In this age of personalized experiences in everything, I want to offer people educational content driven by them and their interests,” said the internationally-renowned clinician behind the Farah DeJohnette Signature Bitless Bridle by Buckaroo Leather, for Western and English riding, classical ground, and in-hand work.
“A good example is a survey we conducted with HolisticHorse.com on its social media that gave readers a choice of topics they could read about in an upcoming issue, plus log in to their own Holistic Horse-only Virtual Clinic applying the topic to a real horse. In this case, Holistic Horse subscribers are choosing Liberty Fundamentals, so this summer they will get an article and virtual clinic on the topic they chose to learn more about.”
Liberty Fundamentals looks at creating a “training dance” with your horse as a tool for developing balance, suppleness and tempo, building a sustainable Natural Outline, and as fun encouragement of a horse's own creativity and mental engagement. An example of DeJohnette “dancing with horses” is at fdhorsemanship.com/why-liberty/ .
Dancing and riding take partnership. Take the lead in your horsemanship and partner with a trainer whose Virtual Clinics bring you the advice you want, when you need it.
About Farah DeJohnette Horsemanship
In 2015, this 46 year-old daughter of jazz legend Jack DeJohnette (John Coltrane, Miles Davis) became a YouTube sensation when a video surfaced of an improvisational Liberty Dance performance that included Farah and her bay gelding Mercury (driving the syncopated rhythms from a rattle attached to his leg) and accompanied by the jazz improvisations of her father joining them, live, in the arena.
Born in New York City and raised upstate in Woodstock, DeJohnette apprenticed at Williamsburg Farm, home to champion Olympic stallion Abdullah, before working for trainer Pat Jacobson, West Coast grand prix trainers Steve and Jenni Martin, and seven-time dressage and show jumping Olympian John Winnett, and has benefited from the guidance of FEI dressage competitors Virginia Leary and Bettina Drummond. She is strongly influenced by the masters of natural horsemanship and Linda ('T-Touch') Tellington and launched an exceptional holistic boutique facility, Ohana Farm, in Massachusetts while maintaining clients and clinic appearances in the USA, United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia.
