Horse Radio Network One of the Top Podcast Networks in the World

Ocala, FL (September 10, 2015) – It’s not often that an attendee at a conference becomes a superstar of their industry overnight, but that is what happened to Glenn the Geek, founder of the Horse Radio Network (HRN), which produces podcasts about horses, horse people, and the horse industry. When Glenn attended the 2015 Podcast Movement conference in Fort Worth, Texas, he was just hoping to learn more about his industry at the largest podcasting conference in the world. Instead, he did a Q&A session that caused quite a stir and word quickly spread about the Horse Radio Network.

The Horse Radio Network was mentioned by a number of speakers in different sessions at Podcast Movement. The fact that HRN ranks among the top podcast networks worldwide is impressive all on its own, but it’s a definite boon for the horse industry to have a niche podcast network receive such an honor.

Glenn, the self-proclaimed “America’s Horse Husband”, is quick to give recognition to others for the success of the network. "HRN owes its success to three things—our terrific hosts, sponsors, and above all, our listeners,” he said. “Our listeners from around the world are passionate horse people who love to be entertained and learn a little something, too. Many of them find time to listen to all of our shows every week."

Glenn and his wife, Coach Jenn, have taken the network they began on August 8, 2008, with the release of its first show, the Stable Scoop Radio Show, from 12 listeners after the first three months to more than 130,000 listeners in 92 countries. Stable Scoop, which is still being broadcast, was the start of a network that has interviewed 6,000-plus guests and reviewed more than 600 products in more than 4,200 episodes across 15 different podcasts.

Current shows include Horses in the Morning (1250 episodes), the Driving Radio Show (218 episodes), Eventing Radio Show (369 episodes), Dressage Radio Show (327 episodes), Horsemanship Radio (47 episodes), Horse Tip Daily (1,156 episodes), Equestrian Legends (30 episodes), and the Stable Scoop Radio Show (368 episodes). In addition, retired shows still offer their episodes online.

Horses in the Morning, HRN’s primary show, airs live weekdays, 9 to 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time, with Glenn and Jamie Jennings as hosts. Listeners and guests are able to call in and speak with the hosts, which makes the live format more interactive.

Glenn said the sponsors are what keep HRN at the top. The company has an estimated 70% sponsor retention rate with over 25 current sponsors. Two sponsors have been there from the beginning seven years ago, Kentucky Performance Products and Equestrian Collections.

Listeners can tune in through iTunes, HorseRadioNetwork.com, HRN’s Free Android or iOS app or any other podcasting app, as well as on a variety of affiliate websites.

The Horse Radio Network is proud to be the “Voice of the Horse World.” HRN is the home of the most entertaining equine radio shows/podcasts on the Internet. The network has launched more than 15 different shows encompassing various facets of the horse industry, together which have generated millions of downloads. HRN offers lively interviews, the latest in horse industry news, product reviews, fun regular segments, and more. Each week, HRN’s hosts interview some of the most interesting, relevant, and timely guests in the horse world. It’s a mixture of entertainment and education you won’t want to miss.
