The Red Pony - Based on John Steinbeck’s tragic novel, The Red Pony tells the story of a young boy and his troubled family on a working ranch. Turning to ranch hand Billy Buck for love and support, Tom Tiflin inadvertently drives his family further apart. When his father gives him a red pony to care for, Tom again turns to Billy for help. The child is given a pony which teaches him about responsibility and loss in a very personal way. A ranch boy is gifted with a colt, grows to love him but the colt escapes, with tragic results.
