1- Aldaniti (1981 Grand National winner)

The success story of Aldaniti is hugely inspirational. He established himself as a top steeplechaser in the 1978-79 season. He finished third in that season's Cheltenham Gold Cup while grabbing the second position in the Scottish Grand National. Unfortunately, he suffered a serious injury in November 1979 that threatened to end his racing career.

However, he returned to horse racing in 1981 with the prestigious Grand National as his target. He won a race at Ascot Racecourse, so he was set as a favorite for winning the trophy. The amazing horse managed to get a lead at the 11th fence and never let his lead slip for the rest of the contest to win by 4 lengths.

His victory was more memorable because he was ridden by jockey Bob Champion who recovered from cancer to get this victory. Their famous victory was made into a film called Champions.

2- Manifesto (1897 and 1899 Grand National winner)

Manifesto has a big name in the history of the Grand National. The amazing British National Hunt racehorse registered two Grand National victories during his career. He competed in the prestigious race for a record 8 times. He is credited for bringing back the prestige and popularity of the Grand National which had been suffering from corruption for a long time.

The amazing horse won the 1897 Grand National by an incredible 20 lengths when his competitive rival Timon fell at the 3rd the last fence. He didn't compete in the next year but managed to win the race the year after that. Even though Manifesto had lost his footing during the race, he did well to gather himself and win the race by 5 lengths in the end.

3- Red Rum (1973, 1974 and 1977 Grand National winner)

No other racehorse has achieved as much as the legendary Red Rum. He registered three Grand National victories, a record which is still standing to this day. The amazing racehorse hadn't fallen in 100 races.

The first victory in the race is regarded as one of the greatest Grand National wins. He was 30 lengths behind from Crisp when Red Rum came with unbelievable speed and took the race away. He won the next year's Grand National too while claiming the 1977 Grand National to his name as well.
