Equine Info Exchange

February 27, 2018 - EIE participated on a media panel at the prestigious American Equestrian Trade Association (AETA) International Trade Show in Pennsylvania on January 27th. Like an equine Shark Tank, the AETA Media Pitch provides opportunities for manufacturers who have new and innovative products showcase their new works in the hopes of generating enthusiasm and support from industry professionals. While attending the event, we also surveyed many companies to find industry trends.

Here's what we learned and wanted to share it with you!

  • "Technical Textiles" Adopting fabrics which were first used in other outdoor sports such as skiing and hiking, our industry now embraces comfortable, breathable materials which accommodate equestrian athletes. Ideas from industries outside the horse world can be practically applied to a variety of uses inside the horse world - including equestrian apparel and more.
  • "Matchy Matchy" - Color coordination is key as riders want to match their barn colors or have their own unique colored take or grooming products to better identify their own items in a barn full of riders. Turquoise is a new, hot color right now.
  • "A Bit of Bling" Rhinestone and sparkly touches adorn tack, helmets, boots and apparel. These accents are eye catching yet not overwhelming.
  • "Social Media Surge" Key influencers drive and shape our industry to help it grow exponentially. While the equine industry is still evolving to leverage technology, many organizations are getting a leg-up in the marketplace by engaging experts to expand product visibility and attract new customers.

For more trends and information regarding our findings and how they can help your business, please email info@EquineInfoExchange.com to schedule a call with us.
