The Lawrenceburg Fair and Horse Show will be held in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky on June 11-14. The show is operated by the Anderson Post 34 of the American Legion. Upon entering the grounds, you can pay homage at the Veterans Wall of Honor and Healing Field, which are located at the front entrance.

Founded in 1875, Lawrenceburg is one of the oldest county horse shows in the United States. Like this week’s Kentucky Derby, the horse show will be celebrating its 150th anniversary. This year, the show has changed its date so as not to conflict with a couple of other shows in the region.

A member of the KAFHS and SCHA and managed by Wayne Hanks, himself a former exhibitor, the show offers a convenient evening schedule, with lodging available at the nearby Best Western Hotel. Academy classes will be offered on June 15, at 9 am. Serving as judge this year will be Joe Brown.
