Texas A&M Polo Club

Man! Man! Man! Line! Ball!

Welcome to the official Texas A&M Polo Club Website.

The image above shows some of our club members playing at our club tournament hosted each semester.

Our Club

The Texas A&M Polo club, founded in 1967, assists both men and women in learning and refining the basic skills of polo so that they can compete at a local, regional, and national level. Intra-club games are scheduled to provide experience for novice members. The club has a string of about twenty polo ponies, so owning a horse is not a prerequisite for membership. All members are expected to assist in the daily care and feeding of the club’s ponies.

The club is dedicated to introducing polo to anyone interested in learning about the “Sport of Kings,” producing winning athletes, and striving to win the coveted USPA Intercollegiate National Championship.

The Texas A&M Polo Club is a part of Texas A&M Rec Sports and is advised by Keith Joseph. It is a student-run organization led by our officer team, which you can learn more about in the Meet the Officers tab.

Our Facility

During the week we are very fortunate to have our very own polo barn located just minutes from campus. Our barn serves as the main home for our ponies when they are not in competition. The barn is located at 3869 F&B Road, just off Highway 2818 (Harvey Mitchell Pkwy). Built in 2017, The Fighting Texas A&M Aggie Polo Team was granted a home arena built behind the Texas A&M Polo Barn for home games.

Directions:

Our barn is located just down the road from the Hildebrand Equine Complex and across the street from Parson’s Mounted Cavalry. However, the turn off of F&B Road can be easy to miss, especially in the dark. Look for a small sign labeled “College Station RV Park” and turn in there. Our parking lot will be located to your left and is boxed in red below. If riding the Texas A&M Bus System, the closest stop would be on Bus 47.

Who can join our club?

The Texas A&M Polo Club is capped at 65 members each semester. We welcome anyone interested in learning about polo, regardless of experience. Each semester we get several new members who have no horse experience at all. The club has a string of about twenty polo ponies, so owning a horse is not a prerequisite for membership. Below you will find more information on what it is like to be a member of the TAMU Polo Club and how to become a member.

The Texas A&M Polo Club is open only to current A&M students.
