Open Skies Therapeutic Riding for disabled children

Therapeutic riding and hippotherapy (treatment using horses) are a subtle but very effective for of medicine practiced in addition to conventional therapies.

images-15Permanent and temporary disabilities of the body and mind derive benefits from the exercises and movements of the hours.  Physically and mentally these benefits are enormous.  In one hour on a more, the boy may get more exercise than in one month in a wheelchair.

The body’s automatic response the to movement of a horse under it exercises often long dormant muscle groups, massages the internal organs, and stimulates blood flow and oxygen supply to the brian.

Open Skies is the only faculty of its kind in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, offering this world-accepted therapy to children and adults.

Session are free of charge for those who cannot pay.  But the upkeep is costly.  As a images-16result, Open Skies is in constant need of financial support.

The founder is a registered qualified therapeutic instructor of the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association, a member of the Federation of Riding for the Disabled International, and of the Equine Facilitated Mental Health Association.

Every rider needs 2-3 people:  Open Skies is always seeking volunteers to help; no experience necessary.
