Our Mission

To rescue imperiled, retired or abandoned hoofed animals; provide a safe refuge; promote rehabilitation and return to full physical ability; provide safe adoptions for rehabilitated animals; and expand the knowledge of equine science, training and horsemanship through association with community groups and leaders.

Our Vision

To become a nationally recognized authority in equine rescue, rehabilitation and placement.

Our Work

Our work varies from daily tasks of caring for our animals to specialty tasks for our events.

Our volunteers work tirelessly to feed, water, groom, train, blanket and give our horses medical attention. We drag fields, fix fences, prepare fundraisers and so much more.

Our History

Robos was a stallion of defining qualities. He was an attentive quarter horse, a Romeo, with not a mean bone in his body. Mr. Malloy was a man of strong character who had a gypsy spirit, loved to travel and loved animals. When it came to animals, he connected with them.

Begin Again Farms began in response to the need in the Harris County area for an equine rescue shelter.

After the unexpected passing of Donald Malloy who started Begin Again Farm that task went to Rhonda Jackson. She was acquainted with Mr. Malloy and took over his idea after he passed away.

Rhonda has been with Begin Again Farms from the beginning. She tirelessly works to ensure our equines have all the care they need.

Begin Again Farms is a nonprofit organization devoted to the care and rehabilitation of abused and needy horses.

Begin Again Farms Inc is volunteer run. Nobody receives financial compensation for their work. Our compensation comes from the joy of helping these wonderful animals and the companionship with each other and the equines.

Begin Again Farms is like a family that pulls together for a great cause.
