Come and see us at the Ranch, where you can experience the exciting western dude ranch lifestyle in the East! KD Guest Ranch is a small, working guest ranch owned and operated by Dave & Kari Burkey. There is plenty to see and do.
Each day you can enjoy two horseback riding activities. The trail rides wind through over 800 acres of rolling hills, creeks, and woodland of southeastern Ohio.
Try your hand at sorting and penning cattle. This event originated from the open lands of the west when the ranchers needed to sort their cattle back out from their neighbors.
Some other fun activities that you can participate in during your stay are horse painting, roping lessons, arena games on horseback, or riding a mechanical bull.
The day isn't complete until you share in some of the evening fun. Each night is different: a bonfire, poker night, movie night, or live music. You can also kick back and relax on the porch or enjoy a drink in the saloon.
You have to see it to believe it - you will be amazed! Terrific setting, great rooms, excellent food, and horses that will happily tolerate rookie riders! Rural Ohio has a lot to offer.
Stayed at KD guest ranch last week, traveling alone from Ireland for the adults only week.The trails were stunning and even the views from the cabins and lodge were amazing. It was such a laid back relaxed holiday, perfect for what I wanted. I will definitely be back!!
My family of 5 (children ages 12,11, and 8) visited the KD Ranch for 4 days. I was hoping to have a different kind of vacation- one where we could disconnect from electronics and make lasting memories. KD Ranch delivered and exceeded my expectations!
Was there about a year ago and it was an excellent stay. I would give KD Guest Ranch more than five stars if I could. The riding was beautiful, the room I stayed in was lovely and food was fantastic. I would recommend this guest ranch for solo travelers, families, couples and anyone else who would have any interest in a relaxing and breathtakingly beautiful vacation.
