Wild Pink Boots had only three starts on the track before entering the broodmare life. In March of 2017, she was found online by Kristan Arrington's friend. The mare was being sold with her colt and also in foal. Arrington's friend was interest in the colt and asked her if she'd be interested in the mare. "Oh my goodness yes!" is what Arrington told her friend. The horses found their way to Maryland and were treated for various health issues. DNA tests reveled the colt was a Thoroubred Trakhener/Holstiener cross and the mare's lip tattoo gave Arrington a bit more information about the beautiful gray mare who is now living out her days as a "pasture puff" with Arrington and her family. ... The 21-year-old Bobbilinkapoo is a Maryland-bred mare who now is a therapeutic horse in Baltimore County. Bred by Edmund T. Mudge IV and Mary Lynn Brett, the 2003 chestnut mare is by Waquoit and out of the Hay Halo mare Spiritual Link. Mudge owned her through the end of her five year racing career. She was retired in 2010 and sold as a broodmare and in 2018, returned to Maryland to become part of Horses for the Soul's Equine Guided Coaching program. ... See MoreSee Less

On April 8, the Maryland General Assembly passed legislation to implement the Maryland Thoroughbred Racing Authority‘s (MTROA) “Pimlico Plus” plan.
