2024 EOLS THEME:
LET'S STIRRUP SOME FUN
Welcome to the 117th Eastern Oregon Livestock Show in beautiful Union, Oregon! As President of the EOLS, I am honored to share in the excitement and tradition of this remarkable event. This year, our week-long celebration includes a diverse array of activities, including a full week of 4-H and FFA shows, culminating in the much-anticipated livestock auction on Saturday, June 8th. We are particularly proud of the Ed Miller Xtreme Bull Riding event, which will take place on Thursday, June 6th. This event holds a special place in my heart as it is held in memoriam of my father. Since its inception in 2010, the bull riding event has seen tremendous support from our community, and our family is deeply grateful. The excitement continues from Friday to Sunday (June 7th-9th) with the PRCA rodeo and pari-mutuel horse racing. The Eastern Oregon Livestock Show offers a multifaceted and thrilling week of activities designed to entertain and engage people of all ages.
I am the proud aunt of last year's EOLS Queen Paisley Miller and her younger sister Millie, who is serving on this year's Royalty Court. Our family's involvement in the show adds a personal touch to the pride I feel for this event and the community that supports it.
Our dedicated EOLS committee works tirelessly throughout the year to upgrade, maintain, and expand our facilities and events. This year, we are excited to unveil the remodeled 'EOLS Cook Shack', a much-needed improvement that we are eager to share with our community. One aspect that truly sets the Eastern Oregon Livestock Show apart is the spirit of volunteerism that thrives within our organization. We are incredibly grateful for our loyal sponsors, devoted community volunteers, enthusiastic fans, and our committed board of directors. Their collective efforts and support are what make this event possible and enjoyable year after year. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all these amazing people for their unwavering support. I also want to thank my family for their encouragement and the time they dedicate as volunteers and Directors of the EOLS. Here's to a fantastic week at the Eastern Oregon Livestock Show!
